Desk Swivel Globe is a 28 cm world globe in 2-Piece Construction with a Sturdy Base. Shows up to date geographical maps for exploration.  Children can describe how the globe is a representation of the world, and find out that the world is round and not flat. They can search for Australia and locate and name the continents, oceans, equator, North and South Poles, tropics and hemispheres.

Students are able to delve into the exploration of Australia’s states, territories and major cities including their own. Students can explore Australia’s closest neighbours and move onto exploring other countries from around the world. Students may also like to explore their countries of origin and the geographical location of countries and places of interest.

Globes are also a perfect resource to discuss subjects like cultural diversity, natural vegetation, natural phenomena like earthquakes and volcanoes, trade routes and much more. The possibilities are endless!  Suitable for children aged 8+ years.

Perseverance is developed as children keep exploring and investigating their surroundings. Children will become more confident and develop a stronger sense of identity through play and exploration.
