Tutor Systems is an engaging, independent student activity with a self-correcting feature which hasbeen a classroom favourite in Australian schools for over 40 years. Modern Teaching Aids updated the series in conjunction with Wendy Bean, Education Consultant, NSW to include16 literacy titles at four levels. Level 1 is Kindy/Year 1, Level 2 is Year 1/2, Level 3 is Year 2/3, Level 4 is Year 3/4. These 16 titles to be used with the Tutor Plastic Tray have revised content and design which reflect the Australian Curriculum and cover four aspects of literacy: Phonics, Vocabulary, Spelling and Reading.

The Tutor Plastic Tray is used in conjunction with the Tutor System Books (sold separately) in the following way:1. Open the tray and place the tiles number side up in the lid of the tray. Pick up the tile that corresponds to the question you are answering. i.

e. For Question 1 pick up Tile 12. Select the correct answer to the question from a list of options. There will be a number indicated beside the answer.3. With the number facing up, place the tile in the tray on the number indicated beside your chosen answer.4. Close the lid and turn the tray over SIDEWAYS as indicated.5. Open the lid and check your answers by comparing the pattern in the tray to the pattern illustrated in the book.6. What if the pattern does not match? If the pattern does not match, some questions have been answered incorrectly. Turn over any tiles that do not match the pattern in the book so the number can be seen. Close the lid and turn the tray over sideways. Take out the tiles that did not match the pattern and work out the answers again. When finished, turn the tray over sideways to check the pattern again.
